Front porch/landing approx 8ft X 16"ft. 18 inches high has a retaining walll all around perimeter, including 2 sides butting against the house, retaining wall, full perimeter sits on a 12 inch wide footer, below frost line. Face of retaining wall on 2 exposed sides are brick faced, sitting on footers, also 2 brick wrapped 4x4 posts from porch surface to soffit sit on the footers. ENTIRE porch has sunk about 2-3 inches fairly evenly across entire 8x 16 area. Inside the retaining wall is fill/sand on which pavers are placed they do not sit on the footers. Desire is to either a) lift the porch back to original height or b)secure the footers from any further sinking. No soil analysis was done by the contractor and no permit/inspection from the city was completed.
