Summer changed abruptly to winter this week as snow fell in the high country and ice coated the foothills. Coloradoans scrambled to pull out coats and long-sleeved shirts as the temperatures dropped from the 70s to the 40s. It got cold! Thoughts turned from hiking to skiing, from mowing the lawn to winterizing the sprinklers. Our "to-do" lists had an abrupt makeover. I suddenly added "New Snow Shovel" and "Disconnect Hoses" to my list.
Along the same lines, our Systems Design Specialists, Jack, Mike, and Aaron, asked us to send out this special reminder as your thoughts turn to colder weather. When the weather gets colder, we aren't the only creatures who want a nice, heated place to hang out. All sorts of creepy crawlies run inside when it feels chilly, too. Right now is a good time to talk to your children about Black Widow Spiders. You're likely to start seeing them inside your crawlspaces and basements, as well as in those neglected piles of fireplace logs. We've had two Black Widows hitch rides on our System Specialists in the last three days!
